Permanently Flame Retardant + AntiMicrobial Qualities

Characteristics & Properties

Polyester used is an inherently & permanently Flame Retardant and AntiMicrobial yarn manufactured using nanotechnology.
Its active agents including silver ion nanoparticles are added during the extrusion process and thus incorporated into the filaments.
This process is unlike any ordinary finishing process since the nanoparticles are uniformly distributed inside the yarn to achieve
maximum stability and effectiveness and this effect lasts over.

Nano yarn takes advantage of the outstanding antimicrobial action of silver ions to combat bacteria that come into contact with
the filaments. For this reason , the product can be defined as bacteriostatic since it inhibits the proliferation of bacteria. It prevents
all of bacterias and unpleasant odours caused by micro-organisms.

Combining the flame retardancy and the silver ion incorporation with the dope dyeing process allows to achieve a product with
superior properties and performance compared to yarn produced with traditional dyeing and finishing techniques which are not
permanent. Due to the dope dyeing process yarn is also inherently coloured. With superior colour stability curtains & draperies
made of this do not turn yellow.

The use of nanotechnology is a technologically advance solution which allows to obtain the maximum benefits while leaving the
characteristics unchanged. Long lasting effects and wash resistance , excellent performances were recorded even after
100 washes for all colours , including dark colours and black.

Environmental Impact

During the additive production and dope dyeing processes less water and energy are used than in the process of yarn dyeing
and/or final string fabric dyeing and finishing.

String Curtains made of this yarn are 100 % polyester and recycleable & eco-friendly.
